“It sounds like a utopia, but it is real and since 2019 has even had a name – Solo Theatre. As if inspired by Peter Brook himself, the soul of this theatre, Birutė Mar, is devoted to the idea of the space, where any place can become a theatre if there appears within it a living, risk-taking person who, in confrontation with us, the audience, is willing to commit to confession, testimony, prayer.”
/Ingrida Ragelskienė, theatre scholar/
“Birutė Mar’s work unfolds not only as a theatrical but also as a spiritual experience – sensitive, subtle, full of authenticity. Her solo performances have earned international recognition, yet the truest awards are those carried by audiences in their hearts – a spirit of inspiration, peace, and genuine art. Heartfelt recommendations to all who wish to experience theatre that transcends traditional boundaries and invites one into a deeper creative space.”
/Evelina Burokė/
“In Solo Theatre I find what is most important and most precious to me on stage – the human creator, whose soul is capable of establishing a unique world.”
/Elvina Baužaitė, theatre scholar/
